How to Get Started with Case Studies

You may begin your training in case studies by participating in a case-based workshop or seminar. A variety of courses are offered several times a year at various governmental and intelligence agencies, and customized courses can also be designed for organizations in the intelligence and law enforcement communities. Contact your training officer to find out when the next workshop is being held in your organization. If you are interested in custom courses, please contact us.

You can hone your analytic reasoning and decision-making skills further by participating in case-based workshop and seminars. You can also contact the Intelligence Community Case Method Program staff to leverage the use of the library of case studies. We have more than 200 cases involving intelligence issues, and we can assist you in finding ones that will work in helping you reach your goals. The staff can conduct a case discussion for you, and help you carry out fruitful discussions yourself. They can also research and write case studies, or train you how to write your own.
